OUR WYOMING REUNION IN JULY WAS AT MARTIN'S COVE. TO HAVE OUR FAMILY WALK THE LOOP AT MARTIN'S COVE WAS SO SPECIAL FOR DON AND I. WE DID THIS IN HONOR OF OUR PIONEER ANCESTORS THAT SURVIVED THE EARLY WINTER STORMS OF 1856.
WHAT AN EXPERIENCE THIS WAS. EVEN OUR 6 GRANDCHILDREN HAD A GOOD TIME. THEY WERE WONDERFUL RIDING AND WALKING THE 6 MILES THAT DAY
THIS IS A REUNION THAT WILL ALWAYS BE VERY SPECIAL FOR US! IT'S A MEMORY WE WILL NEVER FORGET.
WE ARE VERY PROUD OF THOSE THAT SURVIVED THIS HANDCART ORDEAL. I OFTEN THINK OF THEIR COURAGE AND DETERMINATION TO SURVIVE AGAINST ALL ODDS. I ALSO AM AMAZED AT THE DETERMINATION OF THE RESCUERS. IF THEY HADN'T BEEN WILLING TO HELP FIND THOSE PEOPLE ON THE PLAINS, THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN OVER 1,200 SAINTS THAT WOULD HAVE DIED. I PERSONALLY BELIEVE THAT IT WAS A MIRACLE ANY OF THEM SURVIVED. WITHOUT THE LORD'S HELP, I KNOW THEY WOULDN'T HAVE.
